One of my favorite Deep Space Objects to view. I took the top image on October 28, 2024 and I took the bottom image on September 9, 2024. For the October 28, 2024, I started imaging at 9:30pm and stopped just before 11pm. There are 20 5 minute subs stacked and processed using Pixinsight. The … Read More “Pleiades” »
They say this star cluster is over 8 billion years old. She is a beauty This image was taken 10/22/2024 using my 9.25 telescope. The image is 20 30 second exposures and 13 1 minute exposures. I processed it in about 2 minutes in Pixinsight.
I am happy with this image. I started with the Bubble nebula, then I realized how close M52 was so I changed the ROI to 2896×2302 and got a nice shot of both. At full frame I had 2 clusters but the Bubble nebula would have been much smaller. This image is 131 30 second … Read More “Bubble Nebula with M52” »
While waiting for Pleiades to come in view, I was bouncing around looking at different things. I love star clusters and this looked nice so, I grabbed a picture. Taken September 7,
